CLAIM: Election paraphernalia stored in a residential property in Davao City

A Facebook user falsely claimed that election paraphernalia were being stored illegally in a private property in Barangay Buhangin, Davao City.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) Chairman George Garcia confirmed in an interview with PressOne.PH that there were information technology devices stored by a service provider at a residence in Davao City, but did not see irregularities.

“‘Yan ‘yung mga transmission device kumbaga sa TV, antenna ‘yun. Wala pong kinalaman sa pag susuma-total ng boto, pagta-transmit ng kung ano ‘yung mga laman na boto,” he said.

(These devices are like antennas. These do not have anything to do with vote counting or the transmission of the contents of ballots.)
